Healthcare PDF Print E-mail
Healthcare remains one of the most frustrating policy issues at home in Maine and across the nation. Despite efforts to help sustain an alternative subsidized health plan in Maine, few new subscribers and high per person subsidies, point to the need for continued health care reform.

Fortunately, some good laws were passed to assist Maine families and veterans. Hospitals are now prohibited from charging patients to correct medical errors. Insurance reforms were put into place that will reduce private insurance rates by as much as 40% and bring more healthy young people into the insurance market. And I supported a community based outpatient clinic in Bangor to assist our veterans who have served honorably to protect our freedom and liberty, both at home and abroad.
