Dawn Hill is serving her first term in the Legislature and serves on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee, House Ethics Committee, as Chair of the Commission to Develop Strategies to Increase Postsecondary Access for Low-wage Adults and the Ignition Interlock Sub-Committee. Dawn was asked by Chief Justice Saufley to serve on the recently formed Indigent Legal Services Commission.
Hill has lived in Cape Neddick (York) since 1979, where she practiced law from 1980 to 1990. Since 1990 she has served on the board of directors of Maine Mutual Group Insurance. In 1998 she started a canine training and activity center named It's a Dog's World, in York. In addition to working with dogs, Hill enjoys gardening and spending time with her family of relatives and friends. She has served on the York Planning Board, the Maine State Planning Office Critical Areas Advisory Board, York's Historic District Commission and currently serves on the York Land Trust Board of Directors.
Dawn is married to Jim Nadeau. They reside in a circa 1775 Colonial home with their several German Shepards and one brave cat.
